When the T.S. Kennedy returns from a cruise or shipyard she usually transits the canal eastbound past the Academy and then to Cape Cod Bay where she turns around. The Kennedy  then goes westbound back thru the canal to her berth at the Academy arriving at slack tide.  This time was no exception.
